Lead Paint Removal

  • Lead paint debris and dust removed at the surface

  • Lead Paint is automatically transported under vacuum and packaged into centralized 55-gallon drum.
    No extra cleanup.

  • Airborne lead levels maintained well below OSHA action levels with no containment

  • Dual filtered, self-cleaning, and HEPA protected system.

  • Nothing added to the waste stream.  Lower lead paint disposal costs

  • Serious industrial grade reliability and performance.

  • Standard systems accommodate up to 6 simultaneous operators at up to 100 feet each.

  • SSPC, SP-11, SP-15, SP-3.

  • RENT by the week or purchase to remove lead paint at the source.

Single-Step surface decon, clean, prep, collection, and package.

Pentek manufactures the only lead paint abatement system that combines removal, containment, and final packaging in a single-step process. Because dust and debris are captured at the painted surface and automatically transported directly into 55-gallon disposal drums in a dustless operation, the need for engineered containment and ventilation systems is completely eliminated. Also, since mechanical coatings removal technology is used and nothing is added to the waste stream, only the absolute minimum of hazardous waste is generated for disposal--up to 2,500 square feet of project surface can fit in a single drum. Pentek's fully integrated lead paint removal and waste packaging system  reduces or eliminates the need for worker respiratory protection by operating reliably far below regulatory standards.

Lead Paint Removal is a highly regulated process. The Pentek system helps meet compliance in serveral ways:

O.S.H.A. Compliance - An O.S.H.A. directive states, “The employer is required to use all feasible engineering and work practice controls, before relying on respiratory protection to achieve compliance with the Permissible Exposure Limits under 29 CFR 1926.62 (c) (3)". The Pentek system offers primary protection that achieves lead levels below the O.S.H.A. PEL action levels. The respirator becomes a secondary protection device.

E.P.A. Compliance - Keeping the worker's breathing space clean during lead paint removal also means that the air quality away from the worker is just as clean. No containment is neceesary to maintain compliance of adjacent spaces.

R.C.R.A. Compliance - Resource Conservation and Recovery Act empowered the E.P.A. to regulate the generation transportaion, treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous waste. Pentek's lead paint removal system works on a 100% mechanical process that produces a dry waste without adding abrasives, water, chemicals, or neutralizers to the waste volume. No extra processing time or cost is required. The lead paint is automatically packaged in 55-gallon drum ready for transport and disposal.

S.S.P.C. Compliance - Pentek equipment will meet or exceed the Society for Protective Coatings Standards and Specs for power tool cleaning incuding Sp-11, SP-15, and SP-3 during the lead paint removal process.
